Few people know that distant Croatian Island Vis possesses even four historical organs. Two instruments are in Komiža where in St. Mary’s church, reside the oldest organ in Dalmatia dating back to 1670, and two in Vis. The organ located in the Church of the Blessed Mary made by the Italian organ builder Ettore del Chiaro dating back to 1886. The story follows the path of these organs from completely unusable instrument through the restoration in the First Croatian Art Workshop for constructions of organs Heferer, until their return after ten years in the full glory and magnificent sound.
