In the 1990s, Principal of Shekhawati High School in Fatehpur, Rajasthan is faced with the daunting task of saving the school from shutting down. The only way he can save the school is by improving its academic results, which is impossible in a village that gambles and fritters away their time. The other option available for him is to somehow inspire the school to win the State Level Badminton Tournament.

    With shades of Jiří Menzel and the sheer passion of Shane Carruth, this film is deeply moving and inspiring. It captures the idyllic village life through the shenanigans of four young boys and weaves a narrative where every character has an arc and purpose to serve in the film.
    This is what earthy, local cinema looks like. Kudos to the team
