The Legionnaire tells the story of Nasim, a teenage Afghan immigrant in Iran, caught between his dream of joining Afghanistan’s national football team and his family’s wish for him to stay in Iran under an imposed identity. He must choose between a future of his own and a past that belongs to his family: a drama about identity, belonging, and the price of choice.
