57º North is a short portrait documentary introducing us to sea crusted and cynical John Joe McDonald; a 67 year old lobster fisherman living on the remote island of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. Through observing the traditional island lifestyle of John Jo MacDonald, we witness how his way of life is under threat from environmental issues outside of his control.
