Eva, a former Iranian journalist, now lives in exile in Germany. She spends her days working at a café in Cologne, but the weight of migration, isolation, and being cut off from her homeland and former career has led her into deep depression. To escape her loneliness, she begins to chat with an AI in her imagination, gradually feeling as though someone is truly beside her. One day, a colleague confides in Eva that her mother is about to be deported because her visa hasn’t been renewed. This moment triggers something in Eva. With the help of the AI, she decides to find a way to reclaim her voice—as a journalist and a social activist—just as she once was.
