After the death of his 5-year-old daughter, Frank (32) returnes to his work as a military policeman. On his first day he accompanies Congolese refugee Ekon during his deportation. Frank finds out that Ekon leaves a child behind in the Netherlands, a girl of the same age as his own daughter who passed away recently. When Frank finds Ekon’s farewell letter to his daughter, he realizes that he is able to process his own grief through Ekon.
