Original Title: The Spirit Of Cincinnatus Growing With Cincinnati

In July 2015, ArtWorks and Kroger Co. hired 4 young filmmaking apprentices and 1 professional to create this film. In 1983, Richard Haas painted Cincinnati’s monumental mural “The Cincinnatus Mural.” This particular mural carved out a path which inspired the mayor to invite ArtWorks to create a mural program in 2007. Since then, ArtWorks has employed thousands of youth and talented professional artists to put up murals and it is this year that they are celebrating their 100th mural painted primarily by kids under 21 in Cincinnat. It just so happens that my crew and I were hired to document the restoration of this monumental mural at the same time that we are celebrating 100 murals in Cincinnati all because of this beloved Cincinnatus Mural. This restoration is our way of thanking the mural for it’s natural spark which has created a wild fire. Cincinnati is now a living, breathing piece of art. Empower our city by empowering our children and ourselves through art and inspiration…
