The animation videoclip “The End of the World”, created by Marcio Mota for the song by Helô Ribeiro and the great Brazilian poet João Cabral de Melo Neto, portrays in a poetic and lysergic way an apathetic and anesthetized society living a dystopia in dark times. The dreamlike and surreal images permeate the harshness of a melancholy world that is very close to what we unfortunately live today as a nation. Marcio Mota relates the poet’s universe with our current reality, making an extremely poetic and visually striking social critique, approaching, through psychedelic images, dreams and poetry in dark and authoritarian times.
