After winning a contest to live rent-free at a coastal community, Dale is happy to accept, until his ex girlfriend makes contact and warns that his life is in jeopardy. Soon he meets his neighbors and learns they all share a common tragedy from the past, one they all played a part in, yet no one can recall the exact details, and they must overcome these gaps to defeat the sinister forces trying to control The Cottages.
