Lucy and the Lake Monster is a family-friendly movie about an 8-year-old orphan girl named Lucy who believes in the legendary sea serpent “Champ” of Lake Champlain. Lucy and her grandfather, “Papa Jerry”, search for Champ despite mockery and opposition from mercenary forces. The story is based on over 300 real-life accounts and legends of a large, horned monster that has lived in Lake Champlain since before the time of indigenous Abenaki and Iroquois people.
