A story of a Punjabi farmer & his intergenerational struggles and sacrifices. I never went to school is a short film based on the life of my grandfather Shri Ram Singh who shares his experiences and struggle to survive as an illiterate Punjabi farmer and intersects it with the accomplishments of his American born grandson who recently published his first poetry book in English. The generational symbolism between Punjabi & English, and Punjab and America are heartfeltly explored with depths of vulnerability.
