Asiago Plateau, Christmas 1945. Two men with a different cultural background, and on opposite sides during the conflict that has just ended, once were like father and son. Then their choices cancelled that bond. Now, the elementary school teacher and former fascist would like to reconcile with his former student. The two meet again in an old abandoned high mountain refuge.
