Mollison’s work is always to the point and extremely well thought out. His questions are meaningful to a generation far removed from the fields of battle; even more so to those who are alive to share those memories. This is history at it’s best. First person accounts of how it really was.

John has restored a moment we all cherish, which is: history in the making of our past. A very well presented presentation.

    WOW.

Word’s gotten out…and the votes are truly appreciated. This project was a labor of respect for Dalton, Clyde, Eddie and myself—our brief time with F/L Wilkinson was an honor.

The fact is, “people like these” are all around us. At the very least, Dalton, Clyde, Eddie and myself hope that this short story inspires you to do your own door-knocking (so to speak) and learn from people who have experienced life in its breadth.

Thank you too to TFNN for allowing this venue…

Just saw this and many of your other works and I was truly delighted. A story teller allowing a story teller to tell his own story. Well done Mr. Mollison! I appreciate what you have done here and hope there are more in the works as our greatest generation of heroes remain. However, as you stated, “when an old man dies, a library burns”. These stories stop unless they are continued by someone who genuinely appreciates them enough to preserve these experiences for future generations. How soon we forget, forgot, those who secured our nation and defined what bravery and patriotism is and should always be. Thank you so much and I hope to shake your hand one day for all of your works.
