Marianne’s father, John, swears he can hear a little boy crying outside his bedroom window. Soon, the illusion progresses and Marianne finds her father looking out the window, claiming to now see the child. Just as she becomes convinced that her ailing father’s mind is finally slipping, Marianne discovers that she, too, can hear the crying. And that the boy outside is an all too real entity that just might consume them both.
