Former British Army Challenger II tank driver, Peter Cosgrove suffered foot and leg injuries during an operation in Afghanistan in 2009. His road to recovery was steep and he met many challenges along the way, as well as being diagnosed with combat-related PTSD in 2013. However, Peter rediscovered model making, enabling him to relax his mind and to focus on his mental health. As part of this process, he began volunteering for Models for Heroes, a charity focussed on providing the hobby for veterans on the road to recovery, by supporting the sessions and giving helpful tips and advice to the other beneficiaries. This film was created with input from The Royal British Legion, Samaritans, Help for Heroes and Combat Stress.
