Rodrigo Espino is an aspiring artist/producer at the tail-end of a three-year-long musical journey consisting of unadulterated joys, laboured hardships, and everything in between. We join Rod in studio D9, a regular home away from home where he has spent countless hours meticulously composing, playing, and producing each layer of his upcoming release, “The Only Thing I Felt”, a part of his band’s debut album. Through the lens of fellow band member and guitarist Sam Harris, we are granted access to a day in the life of studio production; their camaraderie fosters a participatory experience as we walk through Rod’s artistic process step by step. The fear of the unknown, the unforgiving grind, the constant distractions, the temptation of burnout, and that shrinking light at the end of the tunnel; this is PRANA.
