There are three human settlements with loud names in the countryside of the Altay region: russian Paris, german Cannes and ukranian Orleans. Nowadays life in the villages is very different from that one the Paris-Cannes-Orleans’ dwellers lived some time ago. People had a long way to go from soviet heritage to market economy, from traditional lifestyle (with the clean atmosphere, the friendly neighbors, the closeness to nature and the gentle pace of living) to global urbanization. The movie heroes are trying to answer to the questions “What is happening to us? What is the right choice for the russian countryside now?”.
